Short list of Previews this week. They're all good ones, though. Read on to see.
Angel: Yearbook
- Written by Brian Lynch, Peter David, Scott Tipton, Jeff Mariotte, & more
- Art by Urru, Runge, Mooney, Casagrande, Frison, & more
- Covers by Jenny Frison & David Messina
IDW’s final farewell to the Angelverse is full of the creators who have been telling stories about the vampire with a soul from the very beginning. Each tale will be a farewell from the writers and artists who have known him best.
I'm quite looking forward to this final Angel book from IDW, largely for the story by Jeff Mariotte which is about Gunn in his days before he met Angel. I've always loved seeing how ordinary people deal with the vampires and demons in the Buffyverse, and Gunn and his crew was the epitome of just that.

Detective Comics #877
- Written by Scott Snyder
- Art & Cover by Jock
Batman plunges deeper into the mystery surrounding the brutal murder of a young woman whose body was found in the belly of a killer whale. But his detective skills lead him into a deadly trap set in motion by some of the Gotham Underworld's newest and most fearsome players. Don't miss the finale of "Hungry City!"
Scott Snyder has been writing Batman really well — you always know it's Dick under the cowl — but at least as much, I'm loving his Jim Gordon. Snyder's really made Detective Comics a book you should be reading. I'm always eager for the next issue.

Don't miss this eighty page collection of science fiction short stories from some of Vertigo's all-time greats, as well as the hot new talents of tomorrow! From the far reaches of space to the not so distant future, we bring you eight science-fiction stories as only Vertigo can do them. Plus: the Eisner Award-winning 100 BULLETS team of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso reunite to bring you the first chapter of their upcoming new series SPACEMAN!
It sure seems like there are a bunch of anthologies coming out all of a sudden. Maybe it's just me. I enjoy a good sci-fi story, and I'd like to see how Brian Azzarello and Scott Snyder handle the genre. It's a one-shot, so there's a decent chance I'll be able to make room for it.
Status: In Consideration.
